On 30th July, the eighth edition of Third Pole Series was organized on the theme “Heatwaves in Nepal” What the Private Sector Needs to Know”. Mr. Dinesh Gurung, Programme Manager at DCA Nepal was the key presenter along with his colleague, Ms. Ashma Subedi. The presentation covered important facts regarding heatwaves and the measures the private sector needs to take to mitigate risks due to heatwaves. Through engaging discussion, all those in attendance agreed that heatwaves are natural disaster that needs to be seriously considered at policy level with mitigation and adaption measures implemented effectively by the private sector.
