On 26th March, the Third Pole Series-6 was jointly organized by Chaudhary Foundation, Small Earth Nepal and KIRDARC to celebrate World Water Day of the theme Nadi & Nari at Vivanta Kathmandu. The sixth edition of the series is part of the post-event celebration of Nepal National Glacier, Water and Weather Week (NNGWWW) 2026 by WECS.
For this special edition, artworks of the lived experiences of women and students from river-dependent communities in Geruwa and Madhuwan of Bardiya district was displayed. The featured artworks reflected how the communities respond to changing rivers and impacts of climate change.
Shanta Nepali’s “Dhye Dreams” was also screened, which is set in the Dhye village of Upper Mustang. The documentary follows the lives of women who continue to stay rooted in their homeland despite water scarcity, migration, and the impacts of climate change.
